Join Tom for a foraging session at the Scott's Landing Preserve, covering both forest, meadows and shoreline. Afterward a light meal will be prepared with foraged greens, mussels and locally made bread.

We are very excited to partner with Island Heritage Trust to host forager Tom Seymour. Join us for a foraging session at the Scott's Landing Preserve, covering both forest, meadows, and shoreline. You are sure to discover a few new edible plants to keep your eyes out for and Tom will give recomendations on how to incorporate them into your cooking. Afterward a light meal will be prepared with what we find, along with mussels and locally made bread.

Tom lives in Waldo, Maine and grew up hunting for wild edibles. He is a freelance writer, book author, naturalist and forager and presents seminars and classes throughout Maine. His author credits include Wild Plants of Maine (2010, 2013) and Nuts And Berries of New England (2013).
