Join Edible Island for a very special dinner from Michael Gallina of Blue Hill at Stone Barns and Devin Finigan at her restaurant Aragosta. The meal will feature a bounty of local seafood, farm produce, and foraged ingredients.
Edible Island is excited to welcome Michael Gallina of Blue Hill at Stone Barns to collaborate with local chef Devin Finigan of Aragosta for what looks to be a very special meal. The two had an opportunity to cook together during Devin’s stage at Stone Barns last year and we all look forward to seeing what magic they create.
Michael's earliest cooking memories took place in his grandfather's St. Louis kitchen. Together they would leaf through a tattered Julia Child cookbook and create new holiday recipes - most successful, many delicious, with the exception of the annual burnt Yorkshire pudding. Michael is Chef de Cuisine at Blue Hill at Stone Barns.
Devin was raised in the mountains of Vermont, where she grew up planting gardens, churning butter and making ice cream from milk from their family cow. Her mother, a gardener, and her father, a chef at Vermont's Inn at Sawmill Farm, instilled in her an appreciation for simple, good, fresh food from an early age. Devin is Chef/Owner of Aragosta in Stonington.
The meal benefits Edible Island's educational initiatives in the community.
