Elderberry Syrup

Saturday October 14th | 10:00am – 1:00pm

Island Community Center, Stonington

with Brighid Doherty

Wild Foods Class:

Join Brighid in a hands-on experience making Elderberry Syrup and its many components including an herb infused honey, a decoction and a tincture. Explore the many health promoting benefits that Elder provides.

The Elder plant offers us medicine to help us through the cold and flu season. We will discuss how Elder berries and flowers promote health while we have a cold or flu. We will learn how to make and use multiple herbal preparations with Elder as the star, culminating in a final product of an elderberry syrup that you can bring home to enjoy.
